TCU CRIMINAL JUSTICE SOCIETY

First CJS meeting of the 2007-2008 academic year: Monday, September 24 @ 5 p.m.

Please attend and participate in the election of new officers!

The Criminal Justice Society (CJS) provides Criminal Justice majors and minors (as well as anyone interested in CJ issues) with a network of fellow students who share similar academic, social, and career interests. The main objective of the CJS is to promote and develop student interest in criminal justice through speaker series, tours, community service projects, and effective networking for future employment. The CJS is first and foremost a social group designed for TCU students to apply their knowledge, skills, and abilities in a productive and enjoyable fashion while becoming more familiar with fellow CJ majors/minors and faculty.

Students interested in joining CJS should contact either the current officers or the faculty advisors. They may also attend a CJS meeting at any time during the semester. Information on CJS meetings are e-mailed to members, CJ majors and minors; announced in Criminal Justice classes; and posted around campus.

Recent Activities and Future Plans

The Criminal Justice Society regularly organizes a variety of events (speaker series involving criminal justice professionals, tours of law enforcement and correctional facilities, etc.). CJS officers and advisors strive to provide TCU students with inviting opportunities to learn more about the criminal justice system and to become involved in community activities. We are open to suggestions for the upcoming semester, so please share your ideas with us!
