Alpha Phi Sigma

National Criminal Justice Honor Society
 

Welcome to the TCU chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma! 

Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice Majors.

You will find information regarding the policies and procedures for membership in the TCU chapter below.

Membership Requirements

Since Alpha Phi Sigma (APS) is an honor society, membership to the TCU chapter of APS is by invitation only.

Prospective members should meet the following criteria:

  • Formal declaration of CJ as either a major or a minor
  • An OVERALL GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • A GPA of 3.2 in CJ -related course work with at least 12 credit hours completed in CJ

Several times a year the faculty advisor for APS will review overall GPA records (for declared majors & minors) to identify eligible candidates for membership.  Eligible candidates are then notified and invited to complete the complete the necessary paperwork.
